Gaza Journalists Decry International Medias Inacti

Palestinian journalists in Gaza had a press conference Thursday. They were led by Abubaker Abed and said they were really disappointed with how the international media was covering things there. They feel like the world and especially media groups haven’t been doing enough. The journalists explained they aren’t just reporters they’re also Palestinians and that matters a lot.

Abed asked in English how many journalists need to die before someone does something about what he calls Israel getting away with things. This shows that these journalists feel like they’re not safe doing their jobs. The press conference was held outside the al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. Not sure that location really matters but that’s where they were.

The main thing they wanted was more attention for what’s happening to Palestinian journalists. They want people to act against what they see as unfair stuff. They also feel like the international media should be doing more for them because they think they’ve been left behind. They kept saying they’re both Palestinian and journalists and that those two things can’t be separated.
