Hezbollah, a significant political and military organization in Lebanon, has asserted its right to take action against what it views as Israel’s ongoing occupation of Lebanese territory. A high-ranking Hezbollah official, Naim Qassem, announced that the period for Israel to leave southern Lebanon is over. According to Qassem, Hezbollah will no longer wait for Israel to withdraw, placing blame on the United Nations and other nations for previous delays.
Qassem underscored that Lebanon is unified in its opposition to the presence of Israeli forces. He also noted that the Lebanese President, Joseph Aoun, has instructed the Lebanese army to provide support for the resistance movement. This collaboration shows a unified front between the Lebanese government and Hezbollah regarding this issue. Moreover, Qassem stated that “Any delay in withdrawal is the responsibility of the UN and sponsoring nations,” emphasizing the role of international bodies in addressing this matter.
Furthermore, Hezbollah maintains that it has the right to act if the withdrawal does not occur according to its timeline.
