Kuwait is having a three day public holiday starting Thursday January 30th and ending Saturday February 1st 2025. This is for Shab-e-Meraj also known as Isra and Mi’raj a religious event. The Kuwait Civil Service Commission made this announcement.
The government decided to move the holiday from its original date on January 27th. This means people get a longer weekend break. All government offices and public places will be closed for these three days. Everything will go back to normal on Sunday February 2nd.
Shab-e-Meraj is a religious day on the 27th of Rajab in the Islamic calendar. The Kuwaiti government changed the holiday dates so people could have a longer break to observe the day.
