India Iran Tindposting

No visa for Indians travelling to Iran. Visa on arrival, know the conditions

However, there will be some conditions for this. For this, Indian tourists will have to go by air travel i.e. air route. Only air passengers will get the benefit of this visa-free facility. Due to its declining economy, Iran is offering such facilities to attract tourists and earn from the tourism industry.

This facility will be available to air travel passengers

In a statement issued by the Iranian Embassy in New Delhi, it was said that the visa-free policy facility will be for Indian air passengers who will reach Iran by air. This facility is given only for sightseeing. Apart from this, rules and regulations have been made for how many days they can stay there. If a tourist wants to stay for more than 15 days or wants to visit Iran more than once in 6 months, then he will have to take a visa of another category.

Iran is a traditional friend of India

Iran is a traditional friend of India. Shia country Iran has been in the news due to recent tensions with Pakistan. Just before this, last month External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar visited Iran. During this, he had extensive discussions with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdullahian on bilateral and regional issues.

Here are the conditions for Indian tourists to travel to Iran without a visa:

  • The tourist must have a valid Indian passport.
