Jharkhand is seeing an increase in crime cases. Every day, there are reports of murder, dacoity, robbery, and theft. The most recent incident comes from the Sahibganj neighbourhood, where a railway worker was shot and killed in North Colony, which is only fifty steps from the city police station. At approximately 1:30 pm on Monday, the incident occurred late at night. The robbers shot Raj Kumar Chandan, a railway worker, when they broke into his quarters. According to reports, Chandan was shot in the head and died shortly after.
The youth was from Bihar
Raj Kumar Chandan was formerly a resident of the Bihar district of Banka’s Mandar Hill Naya Tola. He lived in the railway quarters and worked for the Railways as a fourth grade employee in Sahibganj. The city police station’s in-charge, Amit Kumar, arrived at the scene with his team as soon as he received the information and began looking into the situation. The body was taken into custody by the police, who then sent it to Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem.
The criminals entered his quarter and shot Raj Kumar Chandan
According to what is being said, Chandan had dinner with his wife and kids at about eight in the evening and then fallen asleep in the front room of the house. When the wife awoke to the sound of a gunshot, she discovered that Chandan was breathing deeply and that blood was streaming from his head. Wife of deceased went outside and shouted to call neighbours but nobody answered to her calls.
The events of the night explained by the wife
Wife Rinku Devi stated that they have two sons and were married five years ago. They live in Bhagalpur, Bihar’s Bausi. worked in Sahibganj previously. It happened at night. He was unable to speak as he was dying. There was an altercation with certain individuals two months ago.
In the in-laws’ home, there was a fight with a few individuals as well. I’m not sure who fired this shot. He was sleeping the night in the front room after dinner. The criminals took advantage of the fact that the door could be opened with a little push even if it was locked from the inside.
Ongoing police investigation
Rinku Devi added that she saw two people standing there as soon as she heard the sound of a gunshot. She believes her husband was shot by the same two individuals. In this case, the murder’s motive is unknown.
The body was taken into custody by the police when they arrived at the city police station, which was 50 metres away. The corpse was sent to Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem by the police in the morning.The Sahibganj police are working on the case.
