Jharkhand’s Jamtara Cyber Police Station has six vicious criminals under custody who were defrauding people under the pretence of offering cashback on PhonePe payments. Residents of the Karmatand police station and Jamtara are among the criminals who have been arrested.

Sakim Ansari, Tayyab Ansari, Akhtar Ansari, Anwar Ansari, Jamshed Mian and Mansoor Ansari are among the cybercriminals who were taken into custody. They were arrested from the villages of Shahpur, Ghoshwad, and Subdidih.

2 motorbikes, 1 ATM card, 40 SIM cards, and 18 cell phones were retrieved by the police. According to SP Animesh Naithani, they used to manipulate people by sending them QR codes in the hopes of receiving money back on PhonePe payments.

According to SP, the police are always monitoring and apprehending cybercriminals. The criminals were taken to jail after being brought before the judge.
