Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been conducting raids in Jharkhand one after another, leading to the arrests of several politicians and IAS officers. Now, during the investigation, the ED has found a WhatsApp chat of Vinod Singh, a close associate of top leaders in power, which is likely to make many revelations.
The chat shows Singh offering to make someone a DC (Deputy Commissioner) and someone else an AMC (Additional Municipal Commissioner). He even makes demands for these positions, making it clear that he was involved in the transfer and posting of IAS officers.
The chat, which is 539 pages long, dates back to June 2020. There is no reply from the other person in the chat. According to sources, during the raid on Vinod Singh’s premises, the ED also found photocopies of admit cards of candidates appearing for the JSSC (Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission) recruitment examination.
It may be recalled that the ED had summoned architect Vinod Singh for questioning at its office. After examining the documents and questioning him, the ED had sent him back. It is being said that architect Vinod Singh is close to the top brass of the ruling party.
The ED had raided Vinod Singh’s house on January 3 this year. Later, on January 15, the ED had summoned Singh to its zonal office for questioning. However, he did not appear for questioning.
