Young Indians Jamshedpur, together with the Tata Steel Sports Department, recently hosted “Hausala 2.0,” a special sports festival just for children with disabilities. The event took place at the JRD Tata Sports Complex and was a big success, with lots of happy faces and impressive performances.
A Day of Fun and Sportsmanship
Over 250 children from 11 different schools participated in “Hausala 2.0.” The sports festival was all about giving these children a chance to shine, show off their abilities, and have fun playing sports. The games were designed to be inclusive so that children of all different abilities could join in. The main goals were to encourage everyone to get active, feel included, and show good sportsmanship.
Beyond the physical activities, the festival also allowed the children to connect with each other, make new friends, and socialize in a supportive environment. Events like these help to build confidence and a sense of belonging for all involved. These types of events are important in creating a community for everyone to feel welcome.
Celebrating Inclusion and Empowerment
Ananya Mittal, the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, officially opened “Hausala 2.0.” She spoke about how important it is to have programs like this that help children with disabilities feel included and empowered. According to Mittal, these initiatives are very important for the community to thrive. After the events, the children who won and their coaches were recognized for their hard work and great achievements.
“Hausala 2.0” is a continuation of Young Indians Jamshedpur’s efforts to provide opportunities for children with disabilities.
