    International Women’s Day was celebrated at Tinplate Recreation Club on Sunday, March 17th, under the leadership of Ritika Srivastava, President of All India Kayastha Mahasabha Women’s Cell, Jamshedpur District.     Similar to previous years, a traditional Gaja-Baja ceremony was held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 5:00 pm at the old Durga Puja Maidan complex in Agrico on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri. This ceremony was conducted under the auspices of Santosh Akhara, which was founded in 1969. Ramnavmi flag and bhoomi pujan were arranged ahead of the festival. During this, Santosh Kumar and Aman Upadhyay, licensees of Santosh Akhara, assisted in finishing the puja rituals, while Pandit Ashok Pandey conducted the puja. Chief patron of the organising committee Bhupendra Singh, treasurer of the Central Durga Puja Committee, Nand Ji Singh, Kalindi, were present on the occasion.

    In addition to registering their presence and taking part in the puja rituals, Society President Manohar Kalindi, Spokesperson Shambhu Mukh Dungri, Pradeep Sal, Jaideep Kalindi, Rajesh Kumar, Namita Upadhyay, Bhagwan Chatar, and Rakesh Oraon also attended.     Jamshedpur News: Suresh Mukhi, head of Mukhi Samaj Kalyan Samiti Dhatkidih and District President of Congress Scheduled Caste, has died under suspicious circumstances. His body was found in Dhatkidih pond at 9 o’clock in the night. The family members came searching for him and took him out of the pond to TMH where doctors treated him. He was declared dead.

    It is being told that Suresh was with his two friends but he sent his friends home and he himself went home. Later he left the house saying that he was going to the shop. When he did not come home for a long time, his friends and family members searched and reached Dhatkidih pond where his car was found abandoned and his body was found floating in water.

    Police have started investigating the matter. According to the information, eyewitnesses have described it as suicide. Police say that only after postmortem the situation will be clear whether it is suicide or something else.

    Chetan Mukhi and other people associated with the society have expressed deep grief over the demise of Suresh Mukhi.

    Comrade Kedar Das, is a former MLA from Jamshedpur three times. He belonged to Gumraha village in Bihar. Kedar Das was also trade union leader and was associated with CPI.

    Kedar Das was arrested through Bihar Assembly. At that time there was no law to arrest MLA in the Assembly. At that time there was Shri Krishna Sinha’s government. This law was changed overnight and freedom was given to arrest Kedar Das.
