Jamshedpur: Three older students were dismissed from the College Hostel by the government-run Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College and Hospital (MGM-MHS) for acting inappropriately towards juniors.
Dr. KN Singh, the college principal, announced on Sunday that three male students—two from the 2018–19 batch and one from the 2017–18 batch—had been expelled as a result of a complaint made by two 2020–21 class students.
According to Singh, on January 10, the two junior students’ car collided with a senior batch student’s two-wheeler as they were parking their bikes on campus. “This angered the senior boys and they misbehaved with the juniors ones,” the principal added. The juniors were allegedly forced to perform sit-ups while covering their ears by the three senior males. The juniors filed an online complaint with the National Medical Commission (NMC) after being offended by the attitude.
