The Raiti land of Garud Basa, which is situated in the Birsa Nagar police station of Jamshedpur, is being encroached upon by the land mafia.
In 2019, the court ruled in favour of Viren Majhi, a resident of Garuda Basa, and after the land was vacated it was given back to the family in 2023. However, the local MLA Mangal Kalindi’s request, some land mafia are attempting to seize the land.
However, they have uprooted the flag that the court had delineated while threatening the landowner. But today, Viren Majhi’s family members showed up at the Deputy Commissioner’s office demanding that the land mafia be taken down.
