Jharkhand Bangla Bhashi Unnayan Samiti organised a grand Banga Utsav at Kolhan Gopal Maidan in Jamshedpur on 28 January 2024
Banga Utsav was led by Achintam Gupta. Founder Vengu Thakur, State Executive President Rina Mandal, Bhavani Banerjee, and Mahila Morcha Ashish Mandal and Priya Banerjee were present at the function. Banga Utsav’s main goal was to draw attention to the impact of Bengali speakers in Jharkhand and to the significance of maintaining Bengali language and culture.
In an open forum, State Executive President Rina Mandal issued a challenge to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, warning that the Bengali-speaking community would mount a powerful protest in the upcoming 2024 elections if the government fails to prioritize the language. All of Jharkhand’s districts’ Bengali-speaking organizations participated together in the event.
Hundreds of Bengali came from outside state to visit the Banga Utsav in Jamshedpur
On behalf of the Bang Utsav Committee, Kolhan, hundreds of Bengali speaking people were came from Ghatshila, Ghamaria, Ranchi, Kolkata,etc to participate in the Bang Utsav at Bistupur Gopal Maidan.
