Jamshedpur: The project seeks to inform voters—especially those who are voting for the first time—about how electronic voting machines work and why they are so important to the electoral process.
Plans call for an EVM to be placed conspicuously at each district headquarters and sub-divisional office. A Video Below Shows the Demonstration of EVM Voting:-
Additionally, in an effort to reach out to isolated locations where voter awareness may be low, the commission will station one demo van outfitted with an electronic voting machine in many constituencies.
This all-encompassing strategy guarantees direct access to live demonstrations for residents from different places.
Voters in rural areas will benefit greatly from the demo vans’ educational contributions. The vans will visit different places to give people in-person EVM demos.
Citizens will be able to use the machines themselves to have a first-hand grasp of how the EVM works, which will improve the learning experience. The primary reason we did this was for first-time voters. Voting is a challenge for them because they are unaware of the operational procedure, according to an EC official.
The significance of the voter verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) was again emphasised by the official. This campaign will go on till the dates of the Lok Sabha elections are announced.
