The second Jamshedpur Horse Show was organised by the Tata Steel Sports Department at the Horse Riding School. The yearly occasion offered a fantastic venue for introducing kids to competitive riding and supporting horseback riding. 78 riders showed up, demonstrating how popular this thrilling sport is. Jasraj Virk was named the best rider in the 16–45 age group, and Ruchi Verma was named the best rider in the 16–45 age group (senior girls).
The programme featured a wide variety of kid-friendly events as well as open competitions for all age groups. During the show, there were show jumping, hacks, tent pegging, and gymkhana activities such the stick-and-ball, ball-and-bucket, and pole-bending races. Reputable members of the Indian Equestrian Federation judged the competition.
The main attractions were the junior riders’ introductory act and the senior and junior riders’ show jumping and tent pegging.
Chief Guest Ruchi Narendran gave the event great marks and commended the organisers and attendees on their contributions to its success. She expressed her strong opinion of the young participants’ talents by highlighting their outstanding performance in particular.
According to Chanakya Chaudhary, vice president of Tata Steel’s corporate services, the occasion provides a valuable platform for adolescent talent development and equestrian sports enthusiasm. In order to improve the school’s inventory and guarantee that the training and participation requirements for a variety of equestrian sports, such as dressage, jumping, and tent pegging, are satisfied, he continued, the sports department is aiming to acquire more horses.
This occasion serves as evidence of the Tata Steel Horse Riding School’s extraordinary expansion since its founding in 1994. With more than 150 active subscribers and 50–60 riders per day, it is evident that equestrian sports are becoming more and more popular in the city.
The school is motivated to keep improving the facilities and infrastructure because of its significant accomplishments and active involvement in contests across India. To further promote equestrian sports, the Sports Department is also dedicated to boosting membership and enhancing participation in national tournaments.
