Jamshedpur: The annual sports competition of Netaji Subhas University, “Ranniti 4.0”, concluded with a prize distribution ceremony on Friday at the university’s central ground. The competition featured various sports events in different categories. These competitions were being organized for the past two months at various levels in different sports complexes of the university.
The closing ceremony and prize distribution program was graced by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Madan Mohan Singh, as the chief guest and the Registrar of the University, Nagendra Singh, as the special guest.
On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Madan Mohan Singh, said that sports are an integral part of human life. Physical activities play an important role in the overall development of an individual. As we all know, a healthy mind resides only in a healthy body. Therefore, it is important that students, besides their academic activities, should pay adequate attention to sports and exercise to stay healthy.
Addressing the students, Registrar Nagendra Singh said that the main objective of organizing sports competitions is to develop sportsmanship and team spirit among the students.
