Jamshedour police illegal lottery arrested

An illegal lottery operation in Parsudih was intercepted by Jamshedpur Police, marking a significant breakthrough. A substantial amount of money and lottery tickets were seized, and two individuals were arrested.

When a red Renault Kwid with the license plate JH 05 BT 9950 was pulled over for inspection close to the Parsudih police station, the operation was put on hold. Inside the car, the police found 17 bundles of lottery tickets worth a total of Rs 620,440.

The two people who were arrested, Raja Lakra and Chamo Samad, popularly known as Tanta, were discovered to be carrying two cell phones and a purse. They acknowledged that they were involved in the illegal exchange of lottery tickets between Sakchi, Jamshedpur’s Bishtupur, and Chaibasa.

Subsequent inquiries have uncovered more suspects connected to this network, suggesting the existence of a larger racket. These suspects include Golmuri’s Sikendra Yadav, Sakchi’s K Nabi and Bapi, and Bhuiandih’s Santosh. The illegal lottery trade in the area has been significantly impacted by the seizure of the car, cash, lottery tickets, and cell phones.
