The awareness chariot was flagged off from the Collectorate premises as part of the Road Safety Month, which is scheduled to take place from January 15, 2024 to February 14, 2024.
The awareness chariot will go around the district’s blocks, educating people about traffic safety. Throughout the month-long awareness campaign, schoolchildren participated in a road safety quiz competition, bus driver-conductor health checks, overloading campaigns, vehicle inspections, and street dramas and brochures were distributed. The general public is being made aware of this.
