Selling banned plastic in huge stock in Sakchi vegetable market resulted in a Rs 25,000 fine, as announced by the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee on Thursday. Additionally, a 314 kg prohibited plastic bag was taken from vegetable vendor Sunder Prasad. Plastic bags were confiscated during a raid by the flying squad team, which was led by Prakash Sahu and city manager Ravi Bharti. Legal action would be taken against the vegetable vendor if he ever sold plastic bags again.
