Jamshedpur News: Tata Steel’s International Mining Conference begins in Jamshedpur city

JAMSHEDPUR: At Jamshedpur’s Beldih Club, Tata Steel has opened the MBT’24, a worldwide conference on mining and beneficiation technology.

In association with the Barajamda Chapter of the Mining Engineers’ Association of India, this event represents a noteworthy assembly of professionals in the field.

Padma Bhushan NITI Aayog member Dr. V K Saraswat was the chief guest at the inauguration.

Dr. Debashish Bhattacharya, D B Sundara Ramam, P K Tripathi, and Tata Steel’s Atul Bhatnagar were all welcomed to the meeting.

MBT’24 brings together more than 200 people from more than 50 international organisations to discuss important subjects including de-carbonization, smart plant operations, and mining in the digital age.

In his inaugural speech, Dr. V K Saraswat commended Tata Steel for its dedication to circularity and sustainable mining.

He underlined the Indian government’s emphasis on using cutting-edge technologies to achieve carbon neutrality.

D B Sundara Ramam of Tata Steel emphasised the significance of the conference in promoting meaningful conversations in the mining industry.

Sensational keynote addresses on the first day provided context for the technical seminars and panel discussion on day two.

With eight plenaries, ten key notes, thirty-seven technical paper presentations, and two panel discussions, MBT’24 offers an extensive technical forum.

A book named “MBT’24 International Conference on Mining and Beneficiation Technology (MBT) Book of Abstracts” was also unveiled at the event, and an expo featuring technical goods relevant to the sector was opened.
