Rabindra Sangeet Festival’s Annual Performances Are Enchanting
The Tagore Society’s annual Rabindra Sangeet Festival, held at Rabindra Bhawan, featured performances by performers from Bangladesh and Kolkata that delighted the audience and brought warmth.
JAMSHEDPUR: Captivating performances captivated the audience on the last evening of the annual Rabindra Sangeet Festival at Rabindra Bhawan.
Renowned artists from Kolkata and Bangladesh participated in the three-day event, which was organised by the Tagore Society.
Rabindra Sangeet versions eloquently rendered by Utsav Das, Manoj Murli Nair, Bangladesh’s Tanjina Toma, and Kolkata’s Swagatalakshmi Dasgupta were emotionally charged musical performances.
The audience at Rabindra Bhawan gave each act hearty applause.
The instrumentalists, who flawlessly incorporated rhythm into their performances, were largely responsible for the festival’s success.
Notable contributors were keyboardist Shubhendu Shekhar Das, manjira player Sanjivan Acharya, tabla player Partho Mukherjee, and esraj player Nandan Dasgupta.
The Tagore Society Secretary, Ashis Chowdhury, emphasised the value of Rabindra Sangeet in maintaining cultural legacy.
He underlined how important these kinds of gatherings are for educating the next generation and preserving our rich musical heritage.
Chowdhury elucidated the Tagore Society’s dedication to fostering the growth of young individuals and strengthening their bond with Rabindra Sangeet for posterity.
