Jamshedpur: Para Medical Staff Association has protested against the training being conducted in MGM Medical College. On Tuesday, para medical students demonstrated in the college under the banner of the association. Association President Ramvriksh Mahato alleged that after giving 15 days training to the contract workers in the medical college, they are being given certificates as Diploma in Lab Technician and X-Ray Technician, which is wrong. This training should be stopped and the registration should be canceled and stopped soon. The Jharkhand State Para Medical Council ought to address the issue as quickly as possible.
According to paramedical students, they join in medical colleges following their passing the Jharkhand Joint Entrance Competitive Examination, complete two years of training, one year of internship, and receive a diploma degree. Subsequently, the Jharkhand State Para Medical Council is registered. However, we are against the government’s 15-day training programme for contract employees at the medical college. The demonstration won’t end unless the administration declares it ended. The Chairman claimed that the contract workers’ certificates ought to be examined and that they ought to be fired. If not, we shall file a lawsuit in this regard.
