MGM hospital JSR accused of incompetence by the family of a stillborn baby.

MGM Negligence

Jamshedpur: According to the family of a pregnant patient, doctors at the state-run Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College and Hospital (MGMMCH) negligently treated the patient’s unborn child on Monday, resulting in its death.

Mango resident Rinku Alam (25), who lives in Azadnagar, stated on Tuesday that his wife Farzana Parveen (22) was admitted to the maternity unit on Monday at 10.30 a.m. morning following her labour pains complaint. That day was her due date for delivery. “When she was brought to the hospital, the maternity staff did not allot her any bed because of which I had to leave her on the floor , No doctor attended her till 2.30 pm,” Rinku recalled.

She was brought to the operating room as she continued to complain of severe discomfort. The baby’s body was brought by the physicians one hour later. “On January 13, the ultrasound report clearly suggested that the baby was healthy,” he said. Additionally, he filed a negligence lawsuit with the hospital administration on Tuesday.

According to hospital superintendent Dr. Ravindra Kumar, the doctors stated that the infant passed away approximately twenty-four hours prior to the patient being admitted to the hospital. “Until a thorough investigation of the situation is completed, I will not draw any conclusions. If the doctors are proven guilty, they will face consequences, he declared.
