    Two accused in BJP youth wing’s leader murder sent to life Imprisonment

    Suraj Kumar, leader of BJYM Jamshedpur was murdered by two minors after which he was rushed to TMH hospital in Jamshedpur. The incident took place on 7 December 2024 after which Suraj succumbed to death while being treated in Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur on 9 December 2024.

    During the investigation two minors were accused of committing the crime namely, Sonu Singh and Kamal Sharma.

    Incident of Suraj Kumar’s murder in Jamshedpur

    Suraj Kumar was traveling home by himself on December 7, 2021, when the incident happened. Sonu and Kamal, two juveniles, stopped him and struck up a discussion. Sonu severely injured Suraj when he attacked him with a sharp object during the conversation.

    The perpetrators left the scene after the incident. Suraj passed away on December 9 from his wounds while receiving treatment at TMH after being taken there in critical condition.

    Court declared the verdict of Suraj Kumar on 13 Feb 2024

    During the court proceeding, Sonu Singh and Kamal Sharma, the accused, were given life sentences. The offenders were also fined Rs 55,000, and if the fine is not paid, there will be additional penalties.

    The court imposed life in prison and a fine of Rs 30,000 under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and seven years in prison and a fine of Rs 25,000 under section 201 of the Indian Penal Code.

    The two sentences will flow together. The court had found Sonu Singh and Kamal Sharma guilty earlier on Friday. Throughout the proceedings, the prosecution’s case was made by attorney Prabhat Shankar Tiwari.

    Jamshedpur: On Wednesday, the police arrested five accused including the main accused Vikas Tiwari in the firing case that took place in Daigutu Krishna Road of Mango police station area of ​​the city.     According to Wasim Akram, a local resident of Jamshedpur “Traffic situation in Jamshedpur is worsening on daily basis. It is hard to travel to Sakchi in the peak hours. But today it took me more than 1 hour to travel from Road No 1, Azad Nagar to Mango Roundabout which is barely 600 meters of distance.”

    Demand of long-awaited Flyover Project

    Former health minister, Banna Gupta who is an MLA from Jamshedpur West promised the local residents of Jamshedpur for a construction of flyover project connecting the two sides of river. Dec 2022, The Avenue Mail reported a statement of Banna Gupta stating the flyover construction will start within 4 months from now. And yet the residents of Jamshedpur have not seen any such construction.

    When Banna Gupta showed the dream of flyover to the residents of Jamshedpur, Saryu Roy, MLA from Jamshedpur East also tweeted against the MLA. He mentioned that without the No objection certificate (NOC) from TATA Steel the foundation stone cannot be laid for flyover project

    Two men named Shankar Singh and Anil got injured in gun firing today in Jamshedpur. Locals rushed the injured to MGM hospital where treatment is ongoing and police is investigating the matter.

    According to News Times Jharkhand, Vikas Tiwari and Sagar fired 6 gun rounds in Mango. Luckily the people escaped the bullets with injuries and are alive. Currently Jamshedpur Police is investigating the matter and no information on the incident is yet disclosed.

    In recent times, crime rate in Jamshedpur has increased causing situation of panic and fear among the locals of Jamshedpur.

    A youth died while his companion was seriously injured after they were allegedly beaten by people on suspicion of theft in Jamshedpur’s Sidhgoda on Monday.

    The injured Sanjeet reported that early in the morning, Aman had called and assured him he would be getting paid to sell the cylinder. At four in the morning, the two of them left to sell the pilfered cylinder. In the meantime, they were surrounded by 20 to 25 colony members close to Jaher Tola. Police arrived at the scene after learning that they had been badly beaten with sticks and bamboo. They took both of them to MGM Hospital, where Aman Munda passed away while undergoing treatment.

    After Being Rescued both accused were admitted to MGM

    Police said that the local people caught hold of them and beat them. He claimed that both were trying to sell the stolen cylinder. On receiving the information, the police team reached the spot and rescued both the youths. After this he was taken to MGM Hospital, where doctors declared Aman dead. Police said that Sanjeet is currently undergoing treatment.

    The incident took place when Aman Mandal and Sanjeet Dhan allegedly tried to sell an LPG cylinder to residents of Jaher Tola under Sidhgora police station here.

    According to a report, a police officer denied that the incident was a case of lynching. He said that the police have started investigation to find out the cause of death. Police said no arrests have been made yet in connection with the incident.

    He began his career with the Mumbai Indians and later played for the Delhi Daredevils, Rising Pune Supergiants, and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
