Anil Kumar Mishra, general manager of SER, stressed the value of employing sustainable alternatives during the event on Tuesday, adding, “Utilisation of sustainable alternatives is the need of the hour and will also help in conserving the ecology.”
Railway blanketing layers will be made possible by Tata Aggreto, a more environmentally friendly substitute for natural aggregates used in road building, and Tata Nirman, a raw material used to make fly ash bricks and cement.
