Jharkhand cabinet news: 25 decisions made by the Jharkhand Cabinet include the approval of the proposal to create the Backward Classes Commission

These following suggestions were accepted in Jharkhand cabinet meeting January 2024
Rs 208 crore for 12 bridges and 19 roads under the PM Road Scheme were approved.
One position was made for MIS contract work.
Approved expenses in women’s hockey after the fact.
Administrative approval of Rs 67 crore for Hatgamhariya road; approval of three courts to resolve the CID case; and approval of the Jharkhand Protection of Depositors Rights Act
Post-facto consent to adjourn the winter session

Proposal for formation of Backward Classes Commission also approved
Additionally, the state’s proposal to establish a “Backward Classes Commission” was accepted. Yogendra Prasad, a former MLA from Gomia, has been appointed chairman of the Backward Classes Commission. He will serve a three-year term. Up until now, Shri Prasad has been a part of the State Coordination Committee. He is no longer in this position. In addition, the Cabinet approved the regularization of the employment of six individuals who had been appointed irregularly and were employed by the National Savings Directorate’s Finance Department.

Under the plan for salary and other payments of ICDS employees operating under the state scheme, approval was granted to pay the Integrated Child Development Project (ICDS) employees of the state their salaries, benefits, and contractual allowances in full from state funds.


ST-SC community gets benefit of universal pension for 50 years
The Cabinet has decided to grant SC/ST men and women, up to the age of fifty, the benefits of the Sarvajan Pension Scheme. Pensions for the elderly were previously available to those who turned sixty. However, pension payments will now only begin after the age of fifty. This scheme will benefit 18 lakh beneficiaries. Additionally, the plan to convert 140 middle schools into high schools has been approved by the cabinet. The idea to give expectant mothers maternity kits has been approved by the Cabinet. A complimentary kit with 14 different types of items will be given to expectant mothers.

One kit will set you back Rs. 1500. This will help six lakh expectant mothers. The Cabinet will launch the Chief Minister Tractor Scheme for women’s support groups and farmers. For this, 80 crores were approved.


In Dhanbad, a four-lane road will be built from Kanko to the Gol Building.
The World Bank-sponsored Kanco-Vinod Bihari Chowk-Gol Building, a four-lane road with a total length of 20.00 km via the Memco Chowk Path, has been approved by the Cabinet and will be maintained by the Jharkhand State Highway Authority. In this case, a revised administrative approval for development (beautification including cycle track) work including service lane was granted for Rs. 4,61,90,19,200.
