Ranchi: On Wednesday, the Jharkhand government of Hemant Soren convened its cabinet meeting.
In this meeting, twenty-five proposals were approved in total.

- The most important decision taken was that now all women and SC and ST people will get pension from the age of 50 years. About 18 lakh people will directly benefit from this decision.
- Apart from this, relaxation of 7 years has been given to those appearing in the next examination of JPSC. The cut off date has been fixed for 2017.
- Apart from this, it was announced to give home loan up to Rs 60 lakh to the state employees, for which there will be no need to take mortgage.
- At the same time, the government is going to upgrade 140 middle schools to secondary schools. On the other hand, Yogendra Prasad has been appointed to the post of Chairman of the State Backward Commission.
- It was also discussed in the cabinet that the interim budget will be presented in the Assembly between February 9 and February 29.

- Following his retirement on March 31, 2018, Sunil Kumar, the Soil Conservation Research Centre’s deputy director (then called “Sameti”), received a monthly pension deduction of 10% (ten percent) for ten (ten) years. - The Maternal Kit Distribution Scheme for expectant mothers under the Women and Girls Welfare Scheme of the State Scheme has been approved for implementation.
- In the fiscal year 2023–2024, 140 middle schools in the state were approved to be upgraded to secondary (high) schools.
- The purpose of the Jharkhand Protection of Depositors’ Interests (in Financial Establishments) Act of 2011 is to safeguard the rights of regular depositors in the state of Jharkhand, stop financial establishments from engaging in fraudulent defaults, and assist depositors who are not reimbursed for their deposits. The repeal was accepted.

- The Assistant Professor Cadre (Appointment, Promotion and Service Conditions) (Third Amendment) Rules, 2024 were approved for implementation in the state of Jharkhand’s elementary schools.
