A special healthcare camp was recently organized in Jadugora, focusing on helping people with disabilities and pregnant women. The camp, held at the Kendadih Community Health Center in the Musabani block, aimed to provide essential medical services to those who often face challenges in accessing healthcare.
Healthcare for All
The camp served a dual purpose. First, it supported the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Matritva Abhiyan, a program focused on the health and well-being of expectant mothers. Health officials carefully examined 88 pregnant women during this part of the event. Also, a specific **divyang** (disability) camp was set up to assist individuals with various disabilities.
Disability Assessments and Support
During the **divyang** camp, medical professionals evaluated numerous individuals. Following thorough examinations, 49 people were identified as eligible to receive disability certificates. These certificates are important because they allow individuals to access government benefits and support services designed to improve their quality of life. The process of receiving their certificates will be completed once the necessary paperwork is submitted.
Variety of Health Concerns Addressed
CHC BPM Suraj Purti provided a breakdown of the types of cases seen at the **divyang** camp. The camp addressed a range of health issues, including mental health, bone problems, ear issues, and eye problems. Specifically, there were 2 patients with mental health concerns, 32 with bone-related ailments, 9 with ear problems, and 6 with eye conditions. All patients received comprehensive examinations and were provided with necessary medications to manage their conditions.
This camp is part of a larger, ongoing initiative to improve healthcare access for underserved communities within the Jadugora region.
