A new initiative has been launched in Barharwa, Jharkhand, to raise skill awareness among unemployed youth in rural areas. The Deendayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) kicked off its campaign on Thursday with a special vehicle that will travel through villages to share information about the program.
Bringing Skill Awareness to Rural Jharkhand
Faiz Alam, a Block Project Manager (BPM) with JSLPS, officially started the skill awareness campaign in the Kotalpokhar and Shrikund panchayats. The main purpose of this effort is to reach out to unemployed young people living in rural areas. The goal is to make them aware of the DDU-GKY program and help them register for available opportunities.
What is DDU-GKY?
The DDU-GKY program is designed to give young people in rural India the skills they need to find jobs. The awareness vehicle will travel from village to village, providing details about different training programs and job placements. By connecting these young people with opportunities, the program hopes to improve their lives and boost the local economy. Considering exploring resources available on the official DDU-GKY website for a deeper understanding of the program.
Bridging the Opportunity Gap
According to Faiz Alam, BPM JSLPS, the campaign will play a vital role in “bridging the gap between unemployed youth and available job opportunities.” He encourages all eligible young people to sign up and benefit from the program. The DDU-GKY program provides training in various fields, giving young people the skills they need to get good jobs. Transitioning from unemployment to skillful employment is now more accessible.
Empowering Youth for a Brighter Future
This skill awareness initiative is very important for tackling unemployment and poverty in rural Jharkhand. By providing access to information and training, the DDU-GKY program helps young people create better lives for themselves and their communities. The program plans to visit even more villages soon, ensuring that everyone who qualifies has a chance to participate.
