Breaking News: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has filed a complaint under the SC/ST Act against employees of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), according to recent Jharkhand news. Around 1:15 p.m. today, the ED team went to the CM’s Ranchi home to question him about his alleged involvement in a land scam.
Hemant Soren has already been summoned ten times by the ED. The investigation is a component of a case involving money laundering connected to the alleged Jharkhand land scam. Congress leader Banna Gupta, the Health Minister, claims that the CM is assisting with the inquiry. Gupta does, however, stress how crucial it is that constitutional institutions conduct these kinds of inquiries in a legal and impartial manner.
A significant number of security personnel were dispatched in response to the ED’s visit, and seven officers participated in the interrogation. In Ranchi, CM Hemant Soren’s supporters have also mobilized, assembling in large numbers and preparing for protests. They claim that the tribal leader is the target of the investigation, and the police are keeping a close eye on things.
Remarkably, the day before the ED’s visit, the Governor had already asked the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police (DGP) for information on law and order. Badal Patralekh, the state minister of agriculture, gave the assurance that all MLAs support the chief minister wholeheartedly during the investigation. As things move forward, everyone’s attention is on the developments pertaining to Hemant Soren and the ED’s probe into the purported land scam.
