Araria: A broad daylight robbery of Rs 90 lakh took place in Axis Bank, a hundred meters away from Sadar SDPO residence at ADB Chowk in the city. Regarding the incident, it is being told that six criminals entered the bank and committed robbery at gunpoint. After this there was a stir in the area. There was a crowd of people nearby. By the time the police could reach, all the criminals had fled. Not only this, the criminals also fired two rounds while running away.
As soon as information about the incident was received, Araria SP Ashok Kumar Singh reached the bank and sealed the bank from all sides. He took detailed information about the incident and also talked to the manager of the bank. After that he immediately went out of the bank. According to the information received from the bank employees, the incident occurred at around 11 o’clock. Employees told that the work in the bank had just started when 6 people reached inside the bank and started looting.
SP did not confirm the looted amount
After the information, SP Ashok Kumar Singh also arrived and interrogated the people of the bank. Police also recovered two empty shells from the spot. Right now, neither any employee of the bank is ready to say anything in this matter nor has the SP confirmed the amount of looted money, but there is an atmosphere of panic among the people due to the incident of such robbery being carried out in broad daylight in the bank.
