Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the question paper leak case in the JSSC CGL exam. The SIT is headed by Ranchi Sadar DSP Sanjeev Kumar Besra. The SIT includes four police inspectors and several other police personnel. The order in this regard has been issued by Ranchi SSP.
It may be recalled that the JSSC CGL exam was held on January 28, 2024. However, the question paper was leaked before the exam. After this incident, an SIT was formed under the leadership of the then Sadar DSP, but now it has been constituted again due to his transfer.
The SIT has been ordered to identify and arrest the accused as soon as possible. In this regard, a case number 45/24, dated January 29, 2024 has been registered under sections 467/ 468/420/120B, 66 IT Act and 12 Jharkhand Competitive Examination (Prevention and Redressal of Unfair means in Recruitment) Act 2023 against unknown accused at Namkum police station.
