According to the release, the governor was utilizing the same language as the BJP president, who had made remarks regarding the CRPF’s presence.
On Thursday 25-01-2024, Jharkhand Governor C P Radhakrishnan said that the state government had erred in filing a formal complaint against CRPF officers who had momentarily appeared outside Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s home on January 20. The CM was being questioned by Enforcement Directorate officials regarding a suspected land scam case.
The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, led by Soren, had called for “strict legal action” against the CRPF, claiming that the Central force had arrived with the intention of inciting conflict. But the BJP had stood up for the CRPF, claiming that its officers had come to safeguard ED officials because a sizable crowd of JMM supporters had gathered outside the chief minister’s house at the time.
CRPF is one (force). An unnecessary large gathering was organized outside CM’s residence on January 20 and for that only CRPF had to come. It is this party’s mistake and it is this government’s mistake. This has to stop,” Governor Radhakrishnan said in response to a question from a reporter.
According to the release, the governor was utilizing the same language as the BJP president, who had made remarks regarding the CRPF’s presence. Supriyo Bhattacharya stated in the release, “As a political activist, I have an intuitive understanding…when the statement of a political party is made by the constitutional head.”
The JMM went on to say that the governor’s remarks were “unexpected and unnecessary.”
