A motorcycle accident near Macha village in Patamda, Jamshedpur, has resulted in one death and one critical injury. The accident involved two young men who were returning home from the local market. The incident underscores the importance of road safety, especially during night driving.

According to local reports, the victims have been identified as 22-year-old Sourav Modak and his 18-year-old cousin, Bhajo Modak. Both were residents of Birda village. They were traveling back from the Patamda market when the accident happened shortly after passing Macha village.

Witnesses believe the accident occurred because the driver was temporarily blinded by the headlights of an oncoming truck. As a result, he lost control of the motorcycle. The crash left both men severely injured beside the road.

Locals who heard the crash rushed to help. They found the cousins injured next to their motorcycle and immediately called for medical assistance. Emergency services quickly transported them to MGM Hospital for treatment.

Unfortunately, Bhajo Modak died from his injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital. Sourav Modak is still in critical condition and is currently receiving medical care. The community is now mourning the loss and hoping for Sourav’s recovery.

This tragic road accident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of driving at night. It also highlights the need for improved road safety measures in the Patamda area. Authorities may consider reviewing safety protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future.
