A young man from Seraikela was found dead in a canal on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Mahati Soy, a resident of Dhipasai village. His body was discovered behind Pathanmara School, within the Seraikela police station area.
Soy had attended a Shradh ceremony, a religious ritual, on Sunday night. After he didn’t return home, his family and other villagers started looking for him. Sadly, they found his body in the canal early the next morning.
Currently, the cause of Soy’s death is unknown. Police officers have begun an investigation to understand what happened. To find out how Soy died, the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. This examination will hopefully reveal the cause of death.
“We are looking at every possibility in this case,” stated a police officer from the Seraikela police station. “The post-mortem report will be very important. It will help us understand if his death was an accident or if something else happened.”
The news of Soy’s death has brought sadness to Dhipasai village and the surrounding communities. As the investigation continues, more details are expected to emerge. The police are asking anyone who might have information about this incident to contact them and help with the investigation.
