A large group of villagers in the Potka block of Jamshedpur recently participated in a rally to learn more about the MNREGA program. This event, organized by Youth Unity for Voluntary Action (YUVA), took place on Monday and focused on the Tentla, Narada, and Tangrain panchayats. The main purpose was to inform the local people about the rules and advantages of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, often called MNREGA.
The rally included important community leaders such as the Mukhiyas and Secretaries of the three panchayats, along with the YUVA team. Together, they marched through the villages, sharing information and talking directly with residents. Moreover, this activity was part of a state-wide MNREGA week, showing the government’s dedication to rural job creation and progress. This initiative clearly shows that informing people about the programs made for them is very important.
The villagers’ strong participation showed how important these programs are and the need to keep promoting understanding of them. According to a YUVA member, the goal of the rally was to educate people about MNREGA. Through this teamwork, the hope is that more people can use these resources and help build a stronger community. Indeed, this rural employment program continues to play a vital role for many families.
This rally highlights the continuing efforts to make government programs easy to access and understand for the people they are meant to help. Additionally, the focus on education and awareness is crucial in ensuring that programs like MNREGA are used effectively by those who need them most. By keeping the community informed, these programs can have a better, more positive impact.
