The JAP bus hit the scooter carrying the three students from behind, according to the police, causing the accident. Students were traveling to their school.
Following the incident, the locals protested against the administration and blocked the road. They also threw stones at the bus.
When SDPO Ritwik Srivastava arrived on the scene, he used force to try to calm the enraged crowd, but the police were unable to keep them under control. Then the police used lathi-charge.
