3 on the Kolkata-Ranchi bus were robbed with ₹18L at gunpoint.

Ranchi: On Tuesday morning, four armed robbers stole Rs 18.5 lakh from the occupants of an interstate bus travelling from Kolkata to Ranchi. The event happened in the Ranchi district under the Dasham Fall police station on NH-33. Three more people were beaten by the criminals: the driver, his assistant, and a trader.

Three vegetable sellers who were returning to Ranchi after receiving their just compensation were robbed of cash by the crooks.

For the remaining thirty-five passengers, the miscreants did nothing. Technical assistance is being used in the investigation to gather information about the perpetrators, according to Rural SP Manish Toppo.

According to the police, the thieves began robbing the vendors in the Bundu area of the bus when it was moving from Babughat in Kolkata to Ranchi. Equipped with knives and handguns manufactured in the nation, they robbed the victims of their money. When one of the traders objected, a knife was used to stab him in the leg.

Following their theft of the cash, the robbers requested that the bus be stopped close to Nawadih, which is under the jurisdiction of the Dasham Falls police station. The driver and his assistant were attacked as well when they disobeyed. After getting off the bus, the thieves fled into the neighbouring woodland.

When the bus driver brought his car to the Bundu police station, he was informed that the crime scene was under the Dasham Falls police station’s jurisdiction. The police began relief efforts as soon as the bus was brought to the relevant police station.
