Jharkhand wants government and leaders who are devoted to the welfare of the people, not ones who are easily bought off.
The government will be challenged by Surya Singh Besra to drop the charges against 15 students, including Devendra Nath Mahato. Besra declared in a media interview that he would not tolerate mistreatment of the students. He supports the students who are demonstrating and calling for their rightful rights. Besra underlined that, following protracted and difficult battles, Jharkhand has witnessed governments put private profit ahead of the general good during the last 20 years. In order to genuinely serve the people, he insisted that the state elect leaders who are sincere and diligent in their work during the next elections. Jharkhand’s voters now want long-lasting leaders and governments, not ones that are only motivated by vote-bank politics.
Besra went on to say that the state’s citizens could no longer be duped. In an honest response to questions concerning Jayram Mahato, he remarked, “Jayram? For Jay Shri Ram, who is speaking? Remember that a crowd of millions does not equal votes, even when they come together for social and cultural events. For the people, political struggles must start at the local level.” “The resolve of Birsa, Besra is the alternative needed,” he declared in closing.
