Seraikela: Seraikela SDO Parul Singh on Monday raided the premises of lottery running in Gamharia market under Adityapur police station area of the district. The SDO has also arrested two people involved in lottery business from here.

Civil SDO had received information that illegal lottery business was being conducted inside Gamhariya market for several days. After this, the SDO along with local Adityapur police station in-charge Nitin Kumar Singh raided the lottery location.
Two arrests made
Two people involved in the business have been arrested in the raid. The police have also recovered a scooter and other items from them. Civil SDO Parul Singh said that the matter is being investigated further. Preparations are underway to register a case against both the arrested.
Seraikela: A car, a pickup van, a bunch of drums, labels, and lids, as well as an illicit punching machine were also taken by the Excise Department during the raid. The incident was confirmed by Excise Superintendent Vimla Lakra.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Excise Department office, Lakra said that the Ichagarh police station assisted in the raid, which was carried out in response to a tip.

Avinash Infrastructure LLP, the developer of the apartments being built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) on the is blacklisted. The apartments were made for residents of Kashidih, Meerudih, Adityapur Municipal Corporation.
The proposal relates to disregarding and breaking the Labour Act’s regulations, as well as carelessness in flat construction work, and it comes from Labour Superintendent Avinash Thakur.
As per the sources, Adityapur Municipal Corporation repeatedly requested documents and Amit Tripathi, the business coordinator, has not shown up with the records. Neither he nor the company management have given a reason for his absence. The Labour Superintendent then made this decision of blacklisting the company.
According to information received, Amit Tripathi is the target of a prosecution case that was brought in court on charges of violating multiple parts of the Planning and Regulation Act as well as the Labour Act’s provisions against the company and Avinash Infrastructure of Raipur. Additionally, the Labour Commissioner has been advised to put the LLP company on a blacklist.
Seraikela Kharsawan: A 65-year-old woman named Savita Rani Sarkar, who lives in the Dindli Basti area of Adityapur police station area, has been tortured by her three sons over a property dispute after the death of her husband, Ratan Sarkar.

She has not yet received justice. In fact, the woman is now bedridden and is not being cared for. Her sons have taken away her Aadhaar card and bank account, which has prevented her from getting eye surgery. The case is currently pending in the Seraikela court, but some social initiative may help the woman.
According to the information
The elderly woman, Savita Rani Sarkar, who lives in Das Para, Ward No. 16, Dindli Basti, Adityapur, had filed a written complaint with the Adityapur police station. In the complaint, she stated that after the death of her husband on September 23, 2020, during the Corona period, her three sons, Ajay Sarkar, Vijay Sarkar, and Sanjay Sarkar, were harassing her over the property. The three sons also broke the 24 lakh rupees fixed deposit that their father had deposited and divided 6 lakhs among themselves.
Middle son took 4 lakhs in the name of building a house
The elderly woman wrote in the complaint that out of the 6 lakh rupees that were her share, the middle son took 4 lakh rupees in the name of building a house. The elderly woman wrote in the written complaint that the sons have now evicted the elderly mother from the house and forcibly left her at the house of her widowed sister. In addition, the sons have taken possession of Ravi Enterprises, a company located at Page 3 Shed No. 38, Adityapur Industrial Area, which is run by the eldest son.
Occupied all three houses in Adityapur
The woman wrote in the written complaint that her husband had built three houses in the Adityapur area, which are occupied by the sons and all the property related papers are also kept by the sons. One son is taking care of his sister-in-law’s son, but is not asking about his own mother, due to which he is also being criticized in the locality.
In a long-awaited development, the family of Tabrez Ansari, who was lynched by a mob in Saraikela district five years ago, has finally received compensation. Following the recommendation of the National Human Rights Commission, Tabrez Alam’s wife Sahishta Parveen has been awarded a compensation of two lakh rupees. The related order has been issued by the Jharkhand Home Department.
Falsely Accused of Theft and Jailed by Police
The Tabrez Ansari mob lynching case took place on June 17, 2019. Ansari was returning to his village from Jamshedpur when he was caught by some people in the village of Dhatkidih in the Saraikela area on suspicion of theft. He was tied to an electric pole and beaten. The police then sent Ansari to jail on charges of theft. His health deteriorated in jail and he died on June 22, 2019 while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
10 Convicts Sentenced to 10 Years Imprisonment
On July 5, 2023, the Saraikela court sentenced 10 people to 10 years imprisonment in this case. A fine of Rs 15,000 has also been imposed on all of them. The court of ADJ-1 Amit Shekhar of Saraikela Civil Court sentenced the convicts under Section 304 of the IPC. The 10 people convicted by the court include Bhim Singh Munda, Kamal Mahto, Madan Nayak, Atul Mahali, Sumant Mahto, Vikram Mandal, Chamu Nayak, Premchand Mahali, and Mahesh Mahali.

The processes used in the Seraikela district to distribute weekly loans and collect them from microfinance companies through the formation of women’s groups have progressively begun to kill women. Govind Hembram, the woman’s brother, filed a complaint at the RIT police station claiming that his sister was under a lot of stress after taking out a loan from a finance company through a women’s group. On Friday night, she hanged herself to end her life. As of right now, the police have seized the woman’s body, sent it for a post-mortem, and initiated additional procedures.
The headmasters of three of the block’s schools have been given a show-cause notice by Seraikela’s Block Education Extension Officer Dinesh Kumar Dandpat for failing to provide the BRC with the list of children who are not in school, as documented in the school’s child register.

The deceased was said to have lived in Rohtas Colony, which is next to the temple. Ram Sumran Yadav has been identified as him. A tanker struck a bike rider and killed him, according to information received near the Gamhariya Ghoda Baba temple under the Adityapur police station. The tanker came at the rider quickly from behind. In this incident, the bike rider suffered serious injuries. Locals alerted the police after the incident.

Seraikela: Teacher of primary school Khaparsai under Seraikela police station of the district. Hari Hembram, convicted in the murder case of Sukru Hessa by slitting his throat, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the court of Principal District and Sessions Judge Vijay Kumar of the District Civil Court. Besides, a fine of Rs 10,000 has also been imposed on him. If he does not pay the fine, Hari will have to face additional imprisonment of one year.
This case was included in the popular cases of Seraikela Kharsawan district. On July 3, 2018, teacher Sukru Hessa was murdered by slitting her throat in front of primary school Khaparsai School. After that, the accused Hari Hembram walked for about two-three kilometers holding the teacher’s head in his hands and kept scaring people. During this time he was also sharpening his sword. Due to this, the police caught him after a lot of effort.
District Civil Court Public Prosecutor Brijesh Kumar said that the testimony of a total of 13 witnesses has been completed on this case. Researchers and doctors are also included in this. On the basis of the investigation report of the Forensic Science Laboratory and the statements of all the witnesses, the court found the accused guilty under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
