Waris Pathan from AIMIM said his party did not give tickets to rioters in Delhi, defending Tahir Hussain and Shafaur Rahman, calling them innocent undertrials. He asked those making accusations to look at their own actions like BJP’s Pragya Singh Thakur who is accused in the Malegaon blast case. Pathan also said that once a mosque is built its always a mosque pointing out the Babri Masjid demolition and the temple built there.
Pathan criticized Rahul Gandhi and Modi, saying Muslims need Allah’s guidance not political leaders. He talked about Muslims being targeted and said the RSS wasn’t there during the freedom struggle unlike the sacrifices made by Muslims. He questioned why there aren’t many Muslims in Maharashtra politics even though they vote a lot. Pathan said the justice system calls problems “minorities” issues not “Muslim” issues to hide the discrimination against the Muslim community.
Pathan accused Arvind Kejriwal of being a “small recharge version of RSS/BJP” for giving money to priests and saints. He slammed Yogi Adityanath for using old stuff to make people fight and said they are ruining secularism and the constitution. Pathan wants the riot cases to be looked at again because so many innocent people are in jail. He asked why religious sites are being messed with and said that the Places of Worship Act must be followed.
