Simran Gupta a Hindu nationalist leader filed a claim in Sambhal court saying the Shahi Jama Masjid is really a Harihar temple He wants to be part of the case so he can share his side It all started when Harishankar Jain filed a similar claim back in November which made the court order a survey of the mosque
After that survey a second one was ordered on November 24 and things got really bad violent protests happened in Sambhal four people died and 29 police officers got hurt it shows how sensitive this issue is with clashing claims leading to clashes Gupta joining as a claimant just makes the situation more complex
Gupta and his lawyers say this case is about Hindu heritage and culture and the Hindu community needs their rights protected the court now has to think about his claim and decide if he can be part of the case how they handle this and whether Gupta is allowed in will really decide what happens next
