The BJP is working harder in Delhi focusing on areas with lots of Dalit voters before the next election. They didn’t do well in these areas in the past elections, especially in the 12 seats specifically for Scheduled Castes where they won none. They usually only win two or three of these seats, but this time they’re targeting about 30 areas in Delhi where Dalit voters are a large part of the population like 17 to 45 percent.
This time they’re really trying to get votes in these areas where they’ve had trouble before. The BJP is trying to convince people with rallies going door-to-door and holding community events. They are talking about how they will help everyone and develop the city. The party hopes this specific plan will win them more seats in the Delhi Assembly.
The reason they’re doing all this now is because the election is soon. They’re trying to reach as many Dalit voters as possible. They really want to do better in the areas where it’s been hard for them to get votes before and they’re hoping to get enough seats to win the Delhi Assembly.
