The grand old party considered beginning a Bharat Jodo Yatra-like travel from east to west, according to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who restarted the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Kohima in Nagaland on Tuesday morning.

Speaking to a crowd at Kohima’s Indira Gandhi Stadium, he stated, “…last year, we did a (Bharat Jodo) yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir to bring the nation together, different cultures, different religions, and different languages and we had a view that we should do a yatra from east to west…”

“Everyone in the nation should feel equal, regardless of their state of residence. That is the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’s concept. To ensure that everyone has equal access to politics, society, and the economic system, and to provide justice to the people,” noted the Congress MP.

Starting from Sekmai, the yatra ended its journey in Manipur. The Congress MP visited with people in Kohima this morning prior to the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra commencing again. After his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra crossed the state and entered Nagaland on Monday evening, he also thanked the people of Manipur.
