The Delhi Police have been busy since the election rules started. They’ve opened 285 cases about people breaking the Model Code of Conduct. This was all between January 7th and 17th after the Delhi elections were announced. They did this to make sure the elections are fair for everyone.
During the same time the police also arrested 10764 people. These arrests were for different things including breaking the rules about alcohol. This shows that they were trying to stop illegal actions that could mess with the election process. So it wasn’t just about election rules but other issues happening around the city.
The police are also keeping a very close eye on Delhi’s borders. They’re making sure no one is sneaking in things like weapons alcohol or drugs. It’s all part of their plan to keep things peaceful and fair while elections are happening and stop anything illegal getting in the way of the vote.
