Expert Predicts Assad Regime Collapse in Delhi Lecture on Syria’s Tumultuous Past

Dr. Zafarul-Islam Khan gave a talk in New Delhi about Syria. He spoke at the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind headquarters. His main topic was what’s going on in Syria now and how it’s related to the Assad government falling apart and the Arab Spring.

He started by talking about how old Syria is. He said it’s one of the oldest places where people have lived. He mentioned really old things that have been found there showing its history as a place where early human civilizations grew.

Dr. Khan then talked about the complicated situation in Syria and how the Arab Spring sort of reached there later. While we don’t have all the details it sounded like he explained how different groups and countries are involved in the conflict. He also talked about the fall of the Assad government which was a key focus of his talk and he connected all that to Syria’s long history. We don’t know his full analysis or conclusions though since it wasn’t included.
