Hyderabad Snake Rescues Surge, 75,000 Reptiles Saved in Decade

Hyderabad Snake Rescues Surge 75000 Reptiles Saved

Friends of Snakes Society in Hyderabad has helped a lot of snakes, over 75000 in the last ten years. They work with the government and have been doing more rescues each year. In 2015 they did 3389 rescues and by 2024 it went up to 13028 which shows more people care about snakes and that FOSS is good at their job.

The number of rescues going up shows that more people are learning about snakes and that the organization is helping a lot of snakes that are showing up more in cities and towns. They do about 35 rescues every single day that means they have to have a team of people who know how to handle snakes to move them somewhere safe. This work is important for keeping nature healthy and keeping people and snakes safe.

FOSS mostly rescues snakes to move them from places where they might be in danger or where they could hurt people. Doing this big rescue work shows that we need groups that focus on helping animals in cities. The work FOSS does shows how a local organization can help protect wildlife and help people and nature live together better.
