On a 4:3 ratio, the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) concluded their negotiations on Saturday regarding seat sharing for the Lok Sabha seats in Delhi. In the nation’s capital, the AAP will run for four Lok Sabha seats and the Congress for the remaining three. Delhi Lok Sabha comprises seven seats. Congress will run on three ballots, at Chandni Chowk, North East, and North West, while the AAP will run on four, in New Delhi, West Delhi, South Delhi, and East Delhi “Congress general secretary and MP Mukul Wasnik said.
According to Wasnik, the Congress will run for 24 of Gujarat’s 26 Lok Sabha seats, while the AAP will put up candidates for Bharuch and Bhavnagar. The Congress party has attached emotional significance to the Bharuch seat, which is associated with the late Ahmed Patel. It has been widely assumed that Patel’s daughter is putting in her claim for the 2024 election because of her active involvement in the constituency.
According to the Congress leader, AAP will run for one Lok Sabha seat in Haryana, while his party will contest nine seats. Ten Lok Sabha seats are held by Haryana. Congress will compete on September 9. Kurukshetra is the only seat for which the AAP will field candidates. He further states that “After a long discussion on Chandigarh, at the end, it was decided that Congress candidate will contest from there,” According to Wasnik.
