Indonesia’s president-elect Prabowo Subianto isn’t going to Pakistan anymore. He was supposed to visit Pakistan after a trip to India but that’s changed. Sources say India asked him to cancel the Pakistan part of his trip.
The change happened after India may have invited Subianto to be a guest at their Republic Day parade. It seems this invitation made him decide not to travel to Pakistan after India. While India hasn’t confirmed the invite it looks like it swayed things.
This situation shows how India might be using its influence. It’s possible India doesn’t want Indonesia getting closer to Pakistan. Pakistan was expecting Subianto but now that trip is off after India got involved.
