Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Minister Omar Abdullah went to an Army event on Tuesday at Tanda Artillery Brigade near Jammu. This was for the ninth Armed Forces Veterans’ Day. He told the military they do a great job protecting the country and said his government would help them with any problems. It shows the government is really trying to support the military and say thank you.
The Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan was also there which shows how important the day is to the military. Chief Minister Abdullah said the armed forces have sacrificed a lot for the nation not worrying about themselves. He said its the governments job now to make sure they are looked after. So it’s clear the government wants to help veterans get what they need after serving.
The event at Tanda Artillery Brigade was a way for both the government and military to show they appreciate the armed forces. The point was to say thanks for their hard work and to make things better for them. The Chief Minister saying he would help the veterans shows that the Jammu and Kashmir government really wants to remember and support their military.
