A lawyers group in Karnataka called AILAJ sent a letter to the state’s top police officer. They’re worried about a group called Sri Ram Sene that’s been doing what looks like weapons training in Bagalkot. AILAJ says this training is dangerous and breaks the law. They’re also saying the local police didn’t do their job by not reporting it.
AILAJ is pointing out that the local police didn’t even start a case about the training which they think is wrong. They believe the police should have investigated right away. The group wants the state police boss to step in and make sure things are done by the book. They want this to stop before it gets worse and to protect people in the area.
This group AILAJ is not happy with the local police and wants a proper look into what’s been going on with this training. They feel like these activities could cause violence and upset the peace. They’re asking the Director General of Police to make sure the law is followed and that this group’s actions are properly dealt with.
